Capital Item Disbursement Request
2017-2018 Policy

The Executive Board of the Avon High School Booster Club will consider requests for Capital Disbursements by teams for the 2017-2018 school year in accordance with the following procedures:

  1. Coaches of teams requesting capital disbursements must submit a preliminary Capital Disbursement Request Form along with accompanying information to the President and the Athletic Director at the January Booster Club meeting or before January 31. If revisions are necessary, according to the President and Athletic Director, the coaches will be notified and the final copy of the request is due on or before February 12, 2018.
  2. The Team representative or coach will make a short presentation of their request to the Membership of the club at the February 2018 meeting.
  3. In the event that club funds are available to meet a Capital Disbursement Request as determined by the Executive Committee, the Membership will vote to approve or reject the Capital Disbursement Requests at the March 2018 meeting.

    In order to vote upon the Capital Disbursement Requests, a member (individual not family) must be in good standing, paid $25 dues for the current school calendar year and attended at least 3 meeting prior to the March 2018 meeting upon which the vote upon the Capital Disbursement Requests is taken.

  4. Absent significant mitigating circumstances, funds authorized for expenditure by the membership, must be used by the respective teams to complete the Capital purchase by the end of the 2018 school year or such funds will be returned to the club’s general fund.

*All capital disbursement requests are subject to the review and approval of the Booster Club Executive Board and the Athletic Director.
